Rent Lady Gaga's Former Lower East Side Apartment
Full disclosure: One of your SPIN editors and Lady Gaga once shared the same landlord. And now those New York City property owners are renting Gaga's former Lower East Side apartment at market rate! As Jezebel points out, real estate brokers Citi Habitats have listed the 176 Stanton Street apartment for $1,850, which, sadly, is what one-bedrooms in non-doorman buildings are going for these days. The description even comes with a photo of stylist Emily Ting, the girl who famously didn't let Gaga and Anderson Cooper in when they tried to tour the place for a 60 Minutes segment because she was home sick with the flu.
The full listing reads:
Phenominal 1br in the LES!! Former abode of the infamous Lady Gaga--legitimately! Sporting french doors, a marble bath, and a spacious floor-plan, you're a hop-skip-n-jump from the trains and steps from the hottest nightlife in NYC. Give me a call today to check out this, or anything else you may see on the Citi website. Thank you!!
Here's the inside scoop on the place: It's a third-floor walk-up, pets are allowed, and the adorable cannoli shop next door recently closed down, which is a bummer. But the hot meatball spot is just a few blocks away, the even hotter brunch restaurant Clinton Street Baking Company is literally footsteps from the door, and the building super is really kind.
