Lady Gaga arrived in a custom white Chanel gown, with a full skirt and black trimming, to unveil her quirky holiday workshop at Barneys New York.

The luxury retailer teamed with the unconventional singer to create a colorful and whimsical retail environment dubbed "Gaga's Workshop," which is a take on Santa's Workshop.

The festive space contains products such as jewelry and candy as well as colorful "Gaga"-themed windo! w displa ys.The project was a collaboration between creative talents Nicola Formichetti, Eli Sudbrack and avaf, and of course Gaga herself.

"I feel so very excited and blessed to be a part of Barneys this year with 'Gaga's Workshop,'" Grammy-Award winning Gaga said in a promotional video message. "And just so you know, with every purchase, it is guilt free, [because] 25 percent of proceeds go to the Born This Way Foundation, my new charity that focuses on awareness and improving bravery in youth all over the world. Let's push the boundaries of love and acceptance, together."

"Gaga's Workshop" opened to the public on Monday, November 21, just before midnight and shortly following a ceremony, during which Gaga cut a ribbon with a giant pair of colorful scissors. The workshop will remain open at Barneys New York until Jan. 2, 2012.

The display takes over the entire 5,500 square foot, fifth floor of the Madison Avenue Men's Store. What appears to be the mouth of a giant monster-like Lady Gaga encompasses the entire 60th street entrance.

The Born This Way Foundation, recently founded and announced by Gaga and her mother, is named after both the singer's second album and debut single off the record. The foundation is a nonprofit group that deals with "issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development."

Celebrities such as Blake Lively and Neil Patrick Harris, to name a few, also attended the elaborate and colorful event (See photos).
