Lady Gaga's china cup need

Lady Gaga has bone china cups as part of her rider for the MTV Europe Music Awards.

The 'Born This Way' hitmaker will be performing at the awards - hosted by Selena Gomez - in the Northern Irish city of Belfast on Sunday (06.11.11), and as soon as she arrived she sent her personal assistant out to department store John Lewis to get some important items backstage.

A source told BANG Showbiz: 'On landing, her PA headed straight for the store to pick out a grey and silver pied-a-terre chaise lounge, 2 n'espresso coffee machines and some 'shabby chic' fine bone china cups and saucers and a cake-plate - sounds like one lovely dressing room!'

Lady Gaga - who is renowned for her eccentric dress sense, once wearing an outfit made entirely from meat - will perform alongside stars including Bruno Mars, Coldplay and Jessie J at the eagerly anticipated show at Belfast's City Hall, broadcast from 9pm on MTV.

In addition to performing, Gaga is also nominated for six awards, one more than she was up for at the 2010 awards which took place in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
