Singer Lady Gaga says shes gained a few pounds, but she isnt sweating it too much.

Mama Monster recently told radio host Elvis Duran, Im dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds. And you know I really dont feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. Its hard because its a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really dont like that. So Im trying to find a new balance.

Gaga blamed her dads new restaurant for the extra pounds. I love eating pasta and pizza. Im a New York Italian girl. Thats why I have been staying out of New York. My father [Joe Germanotta] opened a restaurant. It's so amazing its so freaking delicious, but Im telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there."

On Saturday, Gaga tweeted her thanks to "my fans who love me no matter what, and know the meaning of real beauty&compassion.

She also shared a quote attributed to Marilyn Monroe: "To all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size 0, you're the beautiful one. It's society who's ugly."
