Lady GaGa shows off her birds nest hair and tiny waist on Vogue September issue

LADY GaGa loves nothing more than to stand out from the crowd.

The Poker Face songstress will be spotted from a mile off on the newsstand now too, thanks to her appearance on the cover of US Vogue.

Lady GaGa has made the coveted September issue for the magazine, with a picture that's part-caricature, part REAL GaGa.

Posing in a ruched, fuchsia fishtail gown, the flamboyant songstress showed off a tiny waist that we're not sure is a result of some clever angling, or the size of the structured hips on that dress.

Pulling her hands behind her back, GaGa lets the structural wonder of THAT dress do all the talking as she gazes open-mouthed into the camera.

The star shuns any dramatic make-up for the shoot, instead adding to the whole angular feel with powdered cheekbones and shadowed eyes.

But her hairstyle - which GaGa regularly experiments with - is a work of art in itself, with the star wearing a rounded wig of wild blonde locks.

And she was clearly thrilled to have bagged the cover spot, as she took to Twitter to share it with her "little monsters."

She wrote: " AHHH! The Vogue Express dropped off the SEPTEMBER ISSUE yesterday morning. IM A COVER GIRL, and ITS FAB! Can't wait to show u tonight!"
