Pop stars do eat, apparently.
After prompting outrage in April by tweeting that "pop singers don't eat," Lady Gaga is making headlines for a 25-pound weight gain.

Gaga recently told Elvis Duran on his morning radio show that she was dieting in the wake of her sudden weight increase, citing her love of Italian food and her father's new restaurant as the reasons behind it. "I really don't feel bad about it," she said. "Not even for a second."
And she shouldn't. After all, Gaga prides herself on encouraging her Little Monsters to be true to themselves and shun conformity. Plus, it was her that coined the self-empowering "Born This Way" -- right?
And though fashionistas have long kept an eye on Gaga's wild fashions, the singer is perhaps garnering more attention than ever for her clothing choices as of late.

Stepping o! ut in Paris for her Fame perfume launch ahead of Fashion Week, Gaga turned heads by wearing clothes that accentuate -- rather than minimize -- her fuller figure. Among them: a fitted, leopard print dress with structured hips, an oversized, pink and blue balloon-like dress, an over-the-top, puffy fur coat with a black miniskirt and, of course, a floor-length, skin-tight black dress.
Gaga addressed her new size on Twitter, writing: "And thank to my fans who love me no matter what, and know the meaning of real beauty&compassion. I really love you."
She also linked to the famous Marilyn Monroe quote: "To all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size 0, you're the beautiful one. It's society who's ugly."
Lady Gaga recently drew buzz after appearing severely photoshopped on the September cover of Vogue, so tell us: Is Gaga making a statement by drawing attention to her new shape? Or is she simply embracing her natural body? Weigh in below.
