Lady Gaga's birthday fun begins

Lady Gaga has been spotted toasting her birthday with a cup of tea and a cocktail - but she had better not get too close to the candles on her birthday cake, as this version of the chart star is a wax copy.

Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - turns 26 this week, and London attraction Madame Tussauds took its figure of the Born This Way singer to the Foundation Bar in Covent Garden to celebrate.

Madame Tussauds in London are also holding a gothic cocktail party for Gaga's waxwork figure to mark the birthday with champagne, tea cups and cocktails.

Meanwhile, the singer has shared a picture with her 'Little Monsters' of her looking in the bathroom mirror, wearing a baggy, grey vest, no make-up and a white flower in her hair, saying "have a beautiful day".

Gaga, known for her outrageous costumes, heavy make-up and ridiculously long false nails, told Jonathan Ross in 2010: "I would rather die than have my fans not see me in a pair of high heels.

"You see legendary people taking out their trash, I think it's destroying showbusiness. I'd never give up my wigs and hats for anything."
