Lady Gaga Praises Barack Obama For Support Of Gay Marriage

Lady Gaga has taken to Twitter to thank U.S. President Barack Obama for openly declaring his personal support for gay marriage this week.

Obama announced during an interview on Good Morning America that he has now decided that gay marriage should, in his opinion, be allowed to happen.

"At a certain point I've concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married," Obama told host Robin Roberts during the interview.

The 'Born This Way' singer, who is currently on her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour, later replied to Obanma's appearance.

"Obama, congratulations on being the first sitting President to support marriage equality!" Gaga tweeted last night.

Adding: "Feels like the future, and not the past. #NoFear."

Gaga is currently on her world tour which will span 110 dates and continue till 2013.

No official setlist has been released, a number of fansites have reported that Gaga opens the show with Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)' followed by all her biggest hits.

Tracks performed included 'Bad Romance', 'Electric Chapel', 'Poker Face' and 'Marry The Night'.
