Lady GaGa surprised fans by handing out free tickets to her upcoming concert in Bangkok.

The 'Born this Way' singer attended a drag show in Thailand on Wednesday (May 23) ahead of her show at the Rajamangala National Stadium.

After the show, GaGa went on stage to meet the performers and handed out six tickets to her Friday night concert, according to WENN.

Nipon Boonmasuwan, manager of the cabaret, told the Thairath newspaper: "A million people have to pay to see a GaGa concert, but GaGa paid to see our show!"

GaGa later tweeted that she was "so excited to perform tonight. I saw the most amazing show in Bangkok, time for you to see mine ladies! This city is one of my favourites. (sic)"

The star recently caused controversy after she was denied a permit to perform in Jakarta in June due to threats from religious groups.

She has since promised that should the show go on as scheduled, she will perform alone.
