Lady Gaga's Vogue September Cover: Inspired by RuPaul, Fozzie Bear
Lady Gaga graces the cover of Vogue for the second time next month, this year dressed in a long violet gown with wild blonde hair for the magazine's iconic September issue.
The "Born This Way" star posted her cover and an inside photo on Twitter today, quipping, "Sorry Anna," in reference to the magazine's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, "but the underground kids deserve it."
With a healthy dose of intrigue, desire, and sex appeal, the cover features an elegant, curvy side of Mother Monster. Styled by Vogue creative director Grace Coddington, Gaga stuns with a blonde lion-esque hair 'do and an electric fuchsia fishtail gown by Marc Jacobs that perfectly billows at the hip. Gaga joked on Twitter that she was channeling RuPaul and Fozzie Bear of "The Muppets."
While her hair is a bit shocking, this image is without doubt more demure than her March 2011 cover, which featured the singer in a pink wig and striking purple lipstick. How do you think this compares to Lady Gaga's first Vogue shoot?
