Lady Gaga reveals name of new album 'ARTPOP' via tattoo (Photo)

Lady Gaga has revealed the name of her upcoming album - "ARTPOP" via an online photo ... of her new tattoo of the same name.

The 26-year-old pop star shared the photo on Friday with her some 28 million Twitter followers and 53 million Facebook fans. She posted the message "New ink new album" and also added a mysterious phrase: "We could / we could / Belong together / ARTPOP."

"Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details," she Tweeted on Sunday.

A release date for "ARTPOP" has not been announced. Lady Gaga had made her album title announcement early - she had promised her Twitter fans in June that she would reveal the name of the record in September.

Lady Gaga is currently preparing to being the European leg of her world tour to promote her second studio album, the 2011 record "Born This Way." On Sunday, she announced new concert dates - she will perform in South and Central America from October 26 to November 20.

"Born This Way," which contains the hit singles "The Edge of Glory," "You and I" and "Marry the Night," has sold more than 2 million copies domestically and hit No. 1 in the United States and several other countries, such as the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany and Japan.

Lady Gaga has also been keeping busy with her acting career - the singer is set to make her film debut in the new Robert Rodriguez film "Machete Kills."

Both the director and Lady Gaga herself Tweeted about her involvement in the film on July 26. The director gave fans a special glimpse of the pop star in character - he shared with his fans a movie poster that shows the singer wearing a skimpy outfit, which includes what appears to be a wolf skin, while holding a smoking handgun.

"I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills," Rodriguez tweeted. "She kicked SO MUCH [Expletive]! Holy Smokes. Blown away!"

Gaga later Tweeted, "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY@RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."
