Its no secret that magazine covers get retouched, but is this Vogues completely airbrushed September issue with Lady Gaga going too far?

Notice how in Vogues behind the scenes montage of Lady Gagas September photoshoot, the Mother Monsters bright purple Marc Jacobs gown looks bulkier and unflattering. Youll find that her hair looks nothing like the styled mane on the cover but instead a bleached, frizzy nest. Lastly, Gagas face is strong-featured and expressive in the picture, instead of the stoic nonchalance seen in the montage.

Is this airbrushing too extreme or is all fair in the name of high fashion?
