U2's Bono records Lady GaGa's 'Telephone' for daughter's birthday

U2 frontman Bono and his wife Ali Hewson have recorded a Lady GaGa hit.

The couple collaborated for a cover of 'Telephone', which they recorded especially for their daughter Eve's 21st birthday.

Bono unveiled his cover of the song at a party in Las Vegas on Saturday (July 7), with guests including Interscope Records boss Jimmy Iovine, film director Michael Bay and basketball player Kobe Bryant.

The Irish rocker introduced the track to attendees at 1Oak at the Mirage, as well as having two magnums of Dom Perignon champagne delivered to his daughter's table, reports the New York Post.

Lady GaGa and Beyon's original version of 'Telephone' reached number one on the UK singles chart and number three on the US Billboard 200.

Meanwhile, Bono recently revealed that U2's latest recording sessions are among the band's best ever.
