Lady Gaga debuts a new sad song called Princess Die
Lady Gaga played a brand new song for her little monsters during a concert in Melbourne, Australia this week.
The Born This Way singer debuted a slow sad song, which is much darker than her other songs, called Princess Die. She teased that it may or may not be on my next album.
I wrote [this song] a little while ago and Ive never ever played it for anyone, she explained to the crowd. This song is a little bit sad. Its in no way reflective of the rest of the music on the album. Its about the most deep and personal thoughts Ive ever had and its called Princess Die. D-I-E.
In the song, the 26-year-old sings about suicide. The song seems to be bringing up the dark side of fame and the sometimes tragic result of it. She sings, I wish that I was strong/ I wish that I was wrong/ I wish that I could cope/ But I took pills and left a note/ I'm hungry from an anorexic heart/ I've been trying to tell you how I feel/ But was never very smart.
In the chorus she sings, I'll be a Princess Die and die with you.
