CAMBRIDGE (AP) Lady Gaga is expected to officially kick off her new foundation at Harvard this week, joined by Oprah Winfrey, spiritual leader Deepak Chopra and others as she unveils the anti-bullying organization.

The Born This Way Foundation, a nonprofit named after the singers 2011 album, will address issues such as self-confidence, well-being anti-bullying, mentoring and career development through research, education and advocacy.

The foundation is partnering with The Berkman Center at Harvard, the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and The California Endowment to explore ways to create a culture of kindness, bravery, acceptance and empowerment.

A kickoff event is scheduled for Wednesday at Harvards Graduate School of Education.

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Harvard Law professor Charles Ogletree are also expected to attend.
