HE's cool in the face of terrorism and financial turmoil. But put the world's biggest pop star in a huge pair of heels, and Mr President's suddenly lost his poker face.
Lady Gaga and Barack Obama only crossed paths for a matter of minutes, but it was enough to intimdiate the most powerful man in the western world, ABC News reports.
She was wearing 16-inch heels. She was eight feet tall. It was a little intimidating, he said.
Mr Obama then told a legion of Gaga's gay and lesbian Gaga followers: "I held some productive bilateral talks with your leader".
The pair were in Washington DC for the Human Rights Campaign gala, where Lady Gaga had been keen to get in the US President's ear about bullying - following the suicide of 14-year-old fan.
I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey," she wrote on Twitter.
Jamey Rodemeyer, an openly gay teenager, took his own life outside his family's Buffalo home in New York State.
It was reported that during a tribute for the teen at his school, bullies let out a chant of "better off dead".
