'Anxious' Lady Gaga Calmed By Alex Rodriguez Moments Before Hip Surgery

The 'Poker Face' star was admitted to New York's Hospital for Special Surgery last week to undergo surgery on her right hip after suffering from an inflammation of the joints, diagnosed as synovitis, and a labral tear, which forced the singer to cancel the remainder of her 'Born This Way Ball' tour.

While she may have been nervous about the surgery, Gaga wasn't alone as she was reportedly comforted by baseball star Alex who was at the hospital for a check-up with his doctor after also undergoing surgery on his left hip in January. According to the New York Post, Alex was more than helpful in calming Gaga's nerves.
Alex was at Dr. Kelly's office for a follow-up, while Gaga was preparing for surgery, a source told the newspaper.

After successfully coming out of the operation, Gaga wrote a message on her blog, LittleMonsters.com, thanking her fans for giving her the strength to get through the ordeal.
Monsters, you really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you've shared with me about your lives, Gaga wrote.
