Lady GaGa's Mum Cried On 'Marry The Night' Video Set

Lady GaGa has confessed her mum cried on the set of her new video for track Marry The Night - because the eccentric singer wouldn't use a stunt double.

Speaking in an interview on Vevo, GaGa claims her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, was unhappy that the Poker Face hitmaker decided to shoot a scene with an exploding car herself, instead of using a trained professional.

Lady G explained: "We really lit the cars on fire, we really exploded them. My dad and my mum were in a car somewhere and my mum was like crying and so upset because I didn't want to use a stunt double."

"I never use doubles for anything. So we filmed this shot of the explosion and I remember thinking back then if they told me I could stand 15 feet away from a car while it explodes in a music video, I wouldn't have flinched."

The 25-year old continued: "So don't flinch now. I just stood there. If you flinch after all that - it's like taking a sip of water when you're ten feet from the end of a marathon. What a jackass."

GaGa also previously told our US Team that the Marry The Night promo is a true story, stating: "This was one of the first times that fashion didn't propel so much of the storyline,"

"It is autobiographical, so the entire story's true. It's though the lens of how I choose to repaint my past. Even though the fashion's important, for the first time, it didn't dictate every single moment."

She added: "The aesthetic was more driven by the emotion of the s! ong and the feeling of New York City."
