Lady GaGa tops highest-earning women in music list for 2011
The singer tops the annual list compiled by financial magazine Forbes, which has suggested the star has earned up to $90 million (58m) in the past 12 months.

The publication has estimated the performer's takings based on the success of her second studio album Born This Way, her popular 'Monster Ball' tour and a number of lucrative endorsement deals.
GaGa has reportedly earned double of what her nearest competitor has taken home. Taylor Swift is in second place with $45m (29m), while Katy Perry is at three with $44m (28.4m).
Adele has entered the list for the first time in her career following the international success of 21, which has sold over 12 million copies throughout 2011.
The songstress sits at number nine on the list with an estimated income of $18m (11.6m).

The ten highest-earning women in music according to Forbes magazine is as follows:
1. Lady Gaga - $90 million
2. Taylor Swift - $45 million
3. Katy Perry - $44 million
4. Beyonc - $35 million
5. Rihanna - $29 million
6. Pink - $22 million
7. Carrie Underwood - $20 million
8. Celine Dion - $19 million
9. Adele - $18 million
10. Britney Spears/Alicia Keys - $10 million
