Lady Gaga is looking for a new apartment in the heart of New York City, and is preparing to $5.95 million on a penthouse at The Link in the city's Upper West Side.

The 'Alejandro' singer is currently recovering from an operation she had last month which involved repairing a labral tear on her right hip but the diva has been keeping herself busy by looking for a new place in the Manhattan area.

According to the New York Post newspaper, the 'Born This Way' singer went to view a nearly $6 million penthouse at The Link which is situated on 52nd Street.

The star has also had a look at a condo at The Park Imperial building which is classed as some of the best in Manhattan as it boasts panoramic views of Central Park, and the listing agents Core call it "a glittering duplex Penthouse".

Celebrity residents at The Park Imperial have included rapper P.Diddy and Medicine Guru Deepak Chopra who was a good friend of Michael Jackson.

The 'Bad Romance' singing superstar is a true New York girl and has and stated many times that she doesn't want to ever leave her hometown.

Due to the recent news of Gaga's surgery, the popstar is currently unable to walk so she has been getting around on the use of a 24 carat gold plated wheelchair. Wowza!

Ken Borochov, the creative flair behind luxury brand Mordekai is the man who designed the chair which he has labeled 'Chariot' and it comes fully pimped out with gold rims, a black leather seat, which takes it's inspiration from vintage motorcycle jackets, and a removable lea! ther canopy.
