Lady Gaga Shakes Up Born This Way Ball For North America
Always one to keep her fans guessing, Lady Gaga plans to shake up her Born This Way Ball when it hits North America in early 2013.
The pop singer is currently deep in the South American leg of the tour, and she let her fans know that in the coming months, she's going to change up a few elements. "THE BORN THIS WAY BALL is getting a face-lift for America. I heard rumors @VERSACE IS CUSTOM DESIGNING ALL THE CLOTHES AND NEW LOOK," she tweeted.
Gaga also confirmed that the party will get started before fans even enter the arena: Her performance-artist pals Lady Starlight and Breedlove will open the shows in the parking lot. "#BTWBALL in America will have a tailgate gypsy party being thrown by @BREEDLOVENYC and @ladystarlightny EVERYDAY pre-show in parking lot," she wrote.
Gaga will be back in North America on January 11 in Vancouver. Her first U.S. date is January 14 in Tacoma, Washington. She will tour the U.S. and Canada through March, with stops in Los Angeles, New York City, Boston and Brooklyn, to name a few. The first installment of North American dates ends March 16 in Miami.
While there's still two months before she lands back on her home turf, the trek has been getting high praise from those closest to her. "If you haven't seen the tour, can't wait for you to see it. It's phenomenal. She's just always changing things," Gaga's Streamline Records boss Vincent Herbert told MTV News, further sharing that the tour isn't the only awesome thing brewing for 2013. Gaga is also set to release her album, ARTPOP, sometime next year. "She's just recording and trying to make sure she's giving her fans a great, great album."
