Lady GaGa UK tour dates confirmed for London, Manchester

Lady GaGa has confirmed details of two UK shows as part of her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour.

The musician will play at the Twickenham rugby union stadium in London on Saturday, September 8 and at the Manchester Arena on Tuesday, September 11. She will also perform at the Aviva Stadium in the Irish capital Dublin on Saturday, September 15.

The Darkness - who recently reformed - will support on all European shows, with Lady Starlight joining Lady GaGa for shows in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

"The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage," GaGa said in a statement.

"The 'Born This Way Ball' is an electro-metal pop-opera; the tale of the beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating."

Lady GaGa revealed the news on Twitter early on Tuesday morning (April 10). She trailed the shows as "the first 21 European dates", suggesting that there may be further shows to meet demand.

The European tour dates confirmed so far are as follows:

• September 2: Parken Stadium, Copenhagen
  
• September 4: Lanxess Arena, Kln
  
• September 8: Twickenham Stadium, London
  
• September 11: Manchester Arena, Manchester
  
• September 15: Aviva Stadium, Dublin
  
• September 17: Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam

It has been confirmed that tickets for the London and Manchester dates will go on sale on Friday, April 13 at 9am. Tickets for the London show will be priced between 50 and 80, while tickets for the Manchester date will cost between 60 and 80.

Tickets for the Dublin show will be made available from Monday, April 16.

Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way Ball' world tour begins in Seoul, South Korea on April 27.
