Lady GaGa 'The Born This Way Ball': What we do and don't want to see

Children in Need Rocks Manchester: Lady GaGa

Any of you who went to Lady GaGa's 'Monster Ball' tour know that giant tentacled creatures and light up costumes are just a few aspects of the star's hit-fest spectacle.

With Mother Monster due to play her first headline stadium show in London and a Manchester arena date in September, Digital Spy ponders over what we would and wouldn't like to see at the outlandish gigs.

What we DO want to see:

  • Beyonce performs at the 2011 Glastonbury Music Festival

Lady GaGa has broken out of the dungeon in her castle-themed set and starts to sing 'Telephone'. Just before the breakdown, a whiff of smoke goes over the stage with the sound of a fake horse called P**sy Wagon. As the smoke clears, Beyonc dismounts the animal and starts: "Boy, the way you blowin' up my phone". The crowd goes crazy.

  • Lady GaGa performs a mash-up of 'Born This Way' and Madonna's 'Express Yourself' to wind her critics up about those accusations of plagiarism. She will also slip in the word 'reductiv! e' somew here.

  • GaGa will perform 'Americano' with a mariachi band, dressed in disguise as a Mexican. She will then rip off the costume in front of police who are running around the stage while she sings: "Don't you try to catch me, no, no, no, no."

  • Adele collects the MasterCard British Album of the Year award on stage during the 2012 Brit awards at The O2 Arena, London

No mention of Adele. Not every artist has to.

  • The finale will be 'Judas'. After watching Steps cover the hit on their 'Ultimate Tour', GaGa invites them on stage to perform with her. Lisa Scott-Lee tries and fails to steal the spotlight.

What we DON'T want to see:

  • The Darkness

Lady GaGa has broken out of the dungeon in her castle-theme set and starts to sing 'Telephone'. Just before the breakdown, a whiff of smoke goes over the stage with the sound of a fake horse called P**sy Wagon. As the smoke clears, Justin Hawkins from The Darkness dismounts the animal and squeals: "Boy, the way you blowin' up my phone". The crowd is irritated.

  • Lady GaGa performs a mash-up of 'Born This Way' and Weird Al Yankovic's 'Perform This W! ay'. Peo ple don't get it and probably would prefer the Country Road Version instead of her trying to be clever.

  • GaGa's performing 'Americano' dressed as a Starbucks mug and sporting a whipped cream hairpiece.

  • GaGa talks about how "inspirational" Adele has been on her and how many times she's cried to 21.

  • The finale not being 'Judas'.
